food's digital future

Canada is a food superpower.

We need to develop and embrace digital and data innovations, and smart technologies, to keep us in the lead of the world’s food producers. The Food’s Digital Future campaign is a series of virtual and live forums that bring together the people leading digital innovation.

These unique events, featuring leaders in all aspects of food, will culminate in a live event, anticipated to be held next Spring, to empower Canada’s food creators and providers to remain global leaders in this essential sector.

Episode 2 ~ October 15

Connected farms

A fourth agricultural revolution is underway, and Canada needs to move quickly to maintain its food leadership.
New demands are being placed on farms and farmers: to upgrade skills, swiftly understand and shift with market demands, and adopt new technologies to stay competitive.

By embracing the Connected Farm and developing a food system that’s fit for the future, Canada can seize a massive market opportunity. But failing to invest in connectivity and the food system of the future carries a major risk.

CityAge’s campaign on The Future of Food continues with a look at the essential steps to extend connectivity to all and invest in the farms of the future on October 15.
