Building The World’s Automobility Hub

October 13, 2021

The Great Lakes Region has always been a world leader in the future of the automobile. Now, the region is taking it to the next level — in automobility.

The Great Lakes Region has always been the world’s leader at building cars and trucks. Now, Michigan and Ontario are on the cutting edge of the next revolution in urban transportation.

With its deep automotive history, robust R&D infrastructure and increasingly connected technology, Detroit and Windsor-Essex are re-emerging as the world’s leading AutoMobility cluster.

AutoMobility is changing how we think about the car, truck and every other vehicle that’s part of transportation’s future. It offers the opportunity to build a fast growing transportation industry around new software, data technology, autonomous & electric vehicles and cybersecurity. All of which will be accelerated by new approaches made possible by 5G.

On October 13th, CityAge, in partnership with major players in the Windsor-Essex Region and jointly convened with the binational Council of the Great Lakes Region(CGLR) through its Great Lakes Economic Forum, and looked at how regional and global players are building this renewed major industry to drive job growth and make important contributions to a net zero future.

Join this exciting community as they building the region’s - and the world’s - exciting new transportation industry.
